What the AI Cover Letter Generator does
This tool drafts a full cover letter for a specific role. It combines the experience you describe with the job requirements you paste, so you start from a complete draft instead of a blank page. The draft is a starting point that you must rewrite and verify.
How to use it step by step
- Your full name and Job title you are applying for: both are required. Use the exact title from the advert.
- Your experience and achievements: required. List the skills and results you want mentioned. Short notes work well, for example "led a stock count project" or "trained three new staff".
- Company name: optional, but it lets the letter address the employer by name.
- Tone: choose Professional, Warm, Confident or Enthusiastic. Pick the one closest to how you would speak in an interview.
- Job description: optional, but recommended. Paste the requirements so the letter can respond to them directly.
- Press Generate letter, read the full draft, and copy it when it is ready.
An example
Example input and expected output only, not a recorded result. If you enter the name "Jordan Lee", the job title "Junior Data Analyst", the company "Brightline Health", the tone Warm, and experience notes about building weekly sales dashboards in Excel, the result is expected to be a single letter with a greeting, three or four body paragraphs that link those notes to the role, and a sign-off. It should not claim skills you did not list.
Tips for editing the draft
- Rewrite the opening. Generic first lines are common. Start with the reason you are interested in this company.
- Add one specific detail. Mention a product, a project or a value that you have read about in the employer's own material.
- Verify every fact. Check dates, figures and job titles against your CV.
- Cut what the CV already says. The letter should explain why your experience fits, not repeat the whole CV.
- Read it aloud. Remove any sentence you would not say in a conversation.
Before you send it
Check the greeting, the company name and the sign-off. A letter addressed to the wrong company is an easy and avoidable mistake.
AI Cover Letter Generator – Frequently Asked Questions
How is the cover letter written?
Your name, the job title, the company, the tone, your experience notes and an optional job description are sent to an AI model. It is asked for one complete letter of roughly 250 to 380 words, with a greeting, body paragraphs and a sign-off. It is instructed not to invent employers or credentials, but you must still check every statement yourself.
What should I check before I send a letter?
Check every achievement, number, date and job title against your own records. Confirm the company and role names are spelled correctly, and make sure the letter answers the key requirements from the job posting in your own words.
Will this tool get me an interview or a job offer?
No tool can promise that. Hiring decisions depend on many factors outside your letter. The generator is a drafting aid that can save time, not a guarantee of results.
Should I paste personal details into the form?
Avoid entering identity numbers, bank details or your full home address. The text you enter is sent to an AI model to produce the letter. FreeToolsHub does not save what you enter in this form to its database.
How much text can I enter?
The experience field accepts up to 1,500 characters and the job description field up to 2,000. Names and job titles have shorter limits, and the form shows a message if any field is too long.
